If I buy a car, how do I know that the series will run next year?
We have ongoing sponsorship deals in place and have now run for 16 years in succession, so there is no reason why that should not continue. Additionally, because we are a one make series, and not a one model series, The Motor Lawyers Fiat Racing Challenge continues to evolve. Whilst older models will be replaced with more modern variations, the series does not rely upon the availability of any one specific car with the result that, even when models are out of production, the series can continue without difficulty.

Why would I want to race a Fiat?Fiat Racing
At first glance the Fiat is not the natural choice for a race car, notwithstanding its fine Italian heritage and pedigree. However, our Unos, Puntos, etc are quite different to your normal shopping car. Most develop in excess of 100 bhp and handle like they are on rails. As a result, they are far faster than other hot hatch or saloon race cars but additionally, they are a lot cheaper to run. The engines are particularly durable and with carefully monitored rules and regulations, The Motor Lawyers Fiat Racing Challenge allows a level playing field so that driver ability is the most important factor, not bank balance.

What if I only want to take part in one race?
That is not a problem (although your probably want to do more when you finish) but from a practical point of view, a one off race can be expensive. You will still need all memberships plus you will need a car which will be more expensive for one off hire than if you commit, to say 5 or 6 races. However, the choice is entirely up to you.

I have done a few track days and all my mates think I am a really good driver so I reckon that I shouldn't have any problems winning. Wouldn't I be better off in another series?
Nobody has ever won on their debut in the Fiat Racing Challenge, save of course for our first ever race! Drivers at the front of the grid are extremely experienced and will take some beating. Realistically, if you can get into the top ten, you are doing extremely well.

I am just looking for some fun, I don't want to take it too seriously, is this series for me?
Yes. Whilst all of the drivers are competitive on track (it doesn't matter whether you are running at the front or the back of the grid) all our feet are firmly terra firma and everyone is there to enjoy themselves. As a result, there is an excellent atmosphere amongst the drivers and you will always be able to find somebody to help you out if you need assistance. The more cars out on the grid is the better as far as we are concerned so you have found the right series!
