Backed by the Southgate Motor Group, Simon has risen from a Rookie also–ran to a major contender, finishing fourth overall in 2006 and third in 2007, during which time he also secured his first ever race win.
His car is immaculately prepared (which is more than can be said for Simon) and is now part of a pair following the recent arrival of younger brother, Chris, to the Fiat Racing ranks, as the McFie Mafia grows.
Known for his witty and adroit post race speeches, this humorous word–smith spends his spare time researching the works of Oscar Wilde of whom he is a great fan. |
