Having learnt his trade on the stock car circuits of England, Pete graduated to the altogether more classy Fiat Racing Challenge in 2002 before taking the world tour.
His greatest claim to fame is the fact that he is the only fiat racing driver to have mounted the podium in a formula 1 race.
Melbourne was the venue, and the Australian Grand Prix the event, and Peter's involvement was to fix a loose plank of wood shortly before the presentation ceremony in his role as official carpenter.
Other artists to whom Pete has given "wood" include Madonna and Thomas the Tank Engine.
Due to debut his HGT in 2008, subject to tour commitments, Pete will be run by Redline Racing. |
